FX Market: Hours of Operation
Currency trading all day longCurrency trading takes place all day long, since every hour of the day is represented around the globe. There are times when the FX market is "closed," however.
Forex trading does not take place between Friday at 5 pm Eastern and Sunday at 5 pm Eastern. The rest of the time it is possible to trade on some foreign exchange market somewhere in the world.
