Since few months, to be a forex broker in Switzerland you must acquire a bank licence. It's a long and difficult road to become a bank in Switzerland.
ACM has decided to bypass it by becoming a member of the NFA

Arnaud,
It has long been known by myself and fellow trading clients that ACM is not choosing one over the other, on the contrary, ACM's ever expanding reach and popularity on 4 continents (proof, they just received Best Broker and Best Trading Platform awards in Dubai) is permitting it to continue it's Swiss banking License application, as well as have a more solid footing in the US. This has to be good news for me, for once a bank it will no doubtedly give me the opportunity to try out stocks and futures.

If you want to talk about brokers who are leaving Switzerland like rats from a sinking ship, then let's talk about Real Time FX who state that they are not even bothering to try and find the CHF. 20 million needed, instead they are off to Malta!

I trade with ac-markets and they are the best broker out there, with the best regulation.
They are NOT regulated by NFA, they are part of FINMA; and will become a bank by the end of summer. That when they’ll stand up for sure
