You can find the DeMark Pivot Points here :
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/techn...1404.asp?Page=2
(wait about 20 seconds for the advert to vanish then you will be redirected to the right page)

But from my experience these pivot points are nearly worthless as stand alone signals, unless perhaps if used in conjunction with other technical indicators. I wouldn't bother too much with those pivots if I were you, it's a waste of time if you ask me.

I like them as price usually acts like a magnet around DeMark Pivots. In the image the price went into a freefall after the auto bailout failure, but then rebounded (giving you an opportunity to go short) right to the DeMark S1 level (new resistance).

Sure, you can always find a few charts that did respect those De Mark pivot points to the pip, but for every successful chart you can easily find 3 charts that did not work.

Test those pivot pivots with 8 years worth of intra-day forex data and you will see.

Dracula - do you use regular pivot points? Just curious as I have made the most money when buying off of S1 bounces and selling off of R1.

I have stopped using them altogether. A test was conducted on those pivot points (I don't remember where I saw the article), using all the pivot points variations (regular pivot, demark pivot and so forth). The results are all negative.

Again, you may win a few pips a month or two, but in the long run those pivots will empty your forex account.

If it was that easy my friend (simply buying off of S1 bounces and selling off of R1), we would all be millionaires by now and all the forex brokers in the world would be out of business, think about it.

One last thing : you claim you made most of your money trading the De Mark pivots. How could it be, since you didn't know how to calculate those pivots in the first place, according to your post? cool.gif

I never said I did not know how to calculate them - I simply asked for the formula that was being used on this site to calculate them. The reason I asked is because when I calculate them they are different from what is displayed on this site. Anyway - I made money with them trading corn, not currencies.

I actually have coded the formulas in an excel spreadsheet if anybody is interested.
