Le président de la Réserve Fédérale de Philadelphie, Charles Plosser, a déclaré que le niveau actuel de l’inflation aux Etats-Unis va probablement conduire la Réserve Fédérale américaine (FED) à relever ses taux. Il a ajouté que les pressions inflationnistes sont trop élevées et qu’un relèvement des taux aux Etats-Unis interviendra avant un redressement économique.
Le dollar réagit bien sur positivement à cette déclaration, qui fait suite à celle également positive du secrétaire au Trésor Paulson qui avait déclaré quelques minutes plus tôt (nouvelles en live sur la plateforme de trading) qu’un dollar fort est dans les intérêts des Etats-Unis. Le billet vert est en hausse à 1,5879 contre l’euro, 1.0200 contre le franc suisse, 1.9995 contre la livre sterling et 106.77 contre le yen.  View the full article |
