Hello
I have joined the Prorealtime site.
I have perused the videos, and have also downloaded the manual.
From most of these it seems that the software is for shares.
I do not need a live feed.
I need constantly streaming forex pair prices.
Which platform shall I use to make these tools work for me in forex?
Does the software work with M$ platform.
Do you have a complete user manual for the forex guys?
The sample charts all seemed to be stock charts... I am a little confused.
Sorry about the many basic questions, but it is like all else in life, once
you know how it is no longer difficult.
Thank you

Agree with your comments and this is what I see there from long esxperience with their charts as a user of them from a broker and now as a direct sunscriber

I use it having experienced a version of it with IG Index (who say they have deal through charts but not exactly as they say so otherwise the combination of ProRealTime and deal through charts would be great
Ref live feed
There are not the constantly streaming forex pair prices but you do get the current market price, obviously your broker bid/buy prices are either side of this
The software does not work with MT4 platform to my knowledge.
The only data in/out is a DDE export to excel
I run the charts on 1 screen and broker Alpari MT4 on another

The charting is excellent though
Especially see Trend detstion, Screener and strategy optimiser (no need for any other programm)
Ref template, they have 1 or 2 for Forex BUT within strategies there are are templates from other users, only 1 for Forex which is ok, but charts easy to create and happy to send you mine and the settings althugh I have some MA issues at moment I need some help with

Also there are numerous indicators BUT again within strategies there are many many from other users you can download and apply to your charts, the same with templates as above and screeners (theses scan forex pairs to bring up all with bearish/bullish movements, or.. all approaching supports/resistance, all within channel breakouts etc etc plus
This means you can benefit from others indicators etc and their backtests

BUT now there are from last week 2 Mataf templates, see subscriptions and click on mataf module to see the benefits this offers you tailormade for forex
http://www.prorealtime.com/en/pages/popup....9&width=770
there are daily, weekly, 4 H and 1Hour charts within that come up separately all on same screen plus you can change any of these within 1 second to 1 min, 2 minute etc etc

Plus a Mataf screener, what this does is
The ProScreener ForexTrend 1H allows you to find in real-time the pairs that have a bullish or bearish trend in the 1 hour time unit. The search uses the default parameters of the Mataf ForexTrend indicator

Apart from the feed to deal through an MT4 platform which is not essential, it would be perfect if it had a Mataf backtester and thence use optimiser to suit your preferred trading time frame chart

My only real issue being new to Mataf is how to interpret the charts for best signals and also which MA to use
Especially as I trade by scalping with 1 minute charts (apart from using the hourly etc for longer trades)
Any help with this would be great

I have researched and tested many charting systems including http://www.fxtrek.com/, and http://www.esignal.com/ also VTTrader etc and still find ProRealTime the best (probably why IG Index so overall successful and they use them (not the simplified version many brokers offer but between this and the subscription version.
Although IG not ideal for forex but execution is excellent
Anyway, I have used PRT charts for some time now and only really got into the full benefits last week which was amazing and then to see Mataf module added!!! a huge plus point
Been up all night 3 x this week screening, using their trend detection (puts in pivots etc) and now backtesting

I would still choose charting by ProRealTime and then use Alpari or Oanda or similar to place trades (their spreads are ok) any other suggestions appreciated. I find MT4 great for placing trades and controlling via modify order etc to control the trade

Sounds like I am a PRT salesman, but no

Would appreciate your help with MA best suited to scalping with the Mataf template plus any get out strategy as they have nothing ideal for this so use 5pt SL reducing at times thru open trade plus sto etc
Would also like to verify Mataf Forex sto settings are best for 1minute chart also

Hope that helps,

Let me know either way or any more questions

(apart from the 2 forex template PRT offer whihc I think are poor, the other Forex downloadable template from another PRT user is as follows BUT not a patch on the Mataf ones)
FPaul 1280
This is the basic chart template used by Frank Paul in the Forex Profits with COT service from Forex Mentor. It comprises a 200 EMA (red/green solid line), 20 EMA (solid blue), 10 EMA (dashed blue), Parabolic SAR with colour zone shading (dot resolution set to fine), and the Stochastic Momentum Index below with colour zone shading between the two lines (applied twice for darker colouring). Frank also makes extensive use of the ProRealTime Fibonacci tools for Elliott Wave analysis.

Is Prorealtime For The Forex Market?

Yes, I use exclusively Prorealtime since 2003 on Forex. And it works perfectly.

Hi,

I too use Pro Real Time for Forex and have no real issues, and am more than happy with the platform.

Most templates are for stocks BUT, it is easy enough to make your own.
